The IMB Institute of Management Berlin has many different cooperations with national and internationalen Companies, Universities and Organisation.
Cooperations with Universities
The IMB Institute of Management Berlin has cooperations with more than 100 universities and colleges in more than 40 countries throughout the world.
The MBA-faculty work closely with two British universities, in the MBA in International Management - Dual Award with Anglia Ruskin University with campuses in Cambridge and Chelmsford, and in the MBA in European Management with London South Bank University. The MBA in Entrepreneurship has a close cooperation with the AACSB accredited Barton School of Business at the Wichita State University.
Company Cooperations
The IMB Institute of Management Berlin has cooperations with national and internationalen companies. The aim of these cooperations is to identify industry requirements and meet them through the curriculum and organisation of our MBA programmes with as much flexibility as possible.
Representatives of our partners form advisory councils in our fMBA and MA programmes providing an important link to industry.
International Associations
AACSB
In June 2008 the IMB Institute of Mangement Berlin joined AASCB as a member (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business). The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) was founded in 1916. For many years the organization was previously known as the American Association of Collegiate Schools of Business. Nowadays AACSB is one of the most renowned associations of business schools worldwide. Leading North American universities and numerous of reputable companies are members of this non-profit organisation.
UAS 7
As a member of UAS7, a strategic alliance of seven leading German Universities of Applied Sciences, the Berlin School of Economics and Law strives for excellence in teaching and research. UAS7 is a strategic alliance of seven leading German Universities of Applied Sciences committed to excellence in teaching and research. It was founded in 2005. By combining the strengths and unique resources of the seven institutions in a cooperative effort, the UAS7 alliance aims to offer superior value for students, as well as their national and international partners. UAS7 strives to further develop the scope and quality of the academic exchanges with US and Canadian universities. The alliance strives for a major expansion of student exchanges at the undergraduate and graduate level, dual and joint degree programs, the exchange of academic staff, the promotion of internships at German and US companies, summer schools for US and Canadian students, as well as collaborative research efforts. To further these goals, UAS7 operates an office in the German Consulate building at United Nations Plaza in New York. The alliance cooperates closely with DAAD, the German Academic Exchange Service. An active exchange of American and German students within courses and internships followed. Because of cooperations with American universities German students are not charged for taking part in study programes in the States. www.uas7.org
EFMD
In 2009 Berlin School of Economics and Law has been awarded membership with EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development). EFMD is a global organisation devoted to the continuous improvement of management development, based in Brussels, Belgium. For more than 30 years EFMD has been bringing together leading academics and senior executives from business schools and companies and has been providing them with benchmarking and networking opportunities.
The IMB Institute of Management Berlin is a member of the IMOVE-Network.
